The Benjamin Banneker Association, an equity affiliate of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), is dedicated to empowering Black children by actively pursuing effective solutions to the challenges hindering their access to equal opportunities in mathematics education and achievement.
Since our founding in 1986, our organization has been dedicated to mathematics education advocacy, establishing a presence for leadership, and professional development to support teachers in leveling the playing field for mathematics learning of the highest quality for Black students. Membership is open to all who share this interest.

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP
Annual membership dues are $30, with discounts for multi-year membership ($54 for two years, and $80 for three years)..

GOLD LIFETIME $500
Individuals may become eligible for Lifetime Membership in the Benjamin Banneker Association, Inc. if they are retired mathematics educators who have paid dues for the last five consecutive years.
Gold lifetime membership is $500 and are paid only once. As a gold lifetime member you'll receive the following benefits.

SILVER LIFETIME $250

BBA STUDENT GROUPS $50
We support K-12 student affiliate groups which we call Benjamin Banneker Association Student Groups. Dues for student affiliate groups are $50 annually, and includes a 1-year membership for the student advisor.
